The nature of aircraft maintenance is a highly disciplined, professional and challenging career which is financially rewarding and provides excellent job satisfaction. It does however demand a reasonable degree of flexibility and tenacity.
Persons who are academically accomplished and are technically oriented with some degree of mechanical dexterity are urged to apply.

Applicants who are between the ages of 18 to 21 will be considered initially on the basis of scholastic acquirement and demonstrated interest in technical subjects but will be further screened for mechanical comprehension and career suitability.
A minimum academic achievement of 5 CXC subjects of which math, english and one science subject must be included.
Passes in IT or business subjects also an advantage.

(CV) as a substitute for a completed form, although you may submit a CV in addition to a completed form.
Forms are to be printed and completed in applicants own handwriting - in ink.

Airframe and Power plant systems refer to the aircraft structure and its mechanical systems and
propulsion; Avionics systems refer to all electric, instrument, radio, radar and autopilot systems
Surname and Christian names must be written and spelt in the same manner as it appears on your Passport or Birth Certificate.
PART 3 requiring you to prepare a short essay in support of your application is regarded as the medium where you are
given the opportunity to present yourself. In completing this section you may wish to consider the following points:
The job description and your personal attributes which are relevant to the career path that you are
choosing should be included. Take time to include a bit about who you are.
The relevant transferable skills and experience you outline within the application form need
not only be drawn from previous employment, but could be taken from voluntary or leisure activities
in which you have been/are involved. Take time to think about what you have done that is applicable
to the post for which you are applying.

three year Bond of employment with LIAT (1974) Limited as a condition of receipt of this scholarship.
