LIAT SEEKING TO REDUCE DISRUPTION TO SERVICE

Barbados, Bridgetown/Bridgetown, 14th December, 2007 - Passengers on LIAT flight LI 778 are asked to note a change in flight times commencing July 24th, 2007

LIAT is advising that there has been and may be some further disruption to the airline's service through the weekend. These have been brought about in some measure by the additional pressures associated with the busy Christmas period and the challenges of transitioning to the single carrier that covers the regional network of 21 islands. Many of the recent problems have resulted from a shortage of aircraft for the planned schedule, due to the prolonged transactions between Caribbean Star and the leasing companies. Unscheduled but necessary maintenance and weather systems have also impacted on the service.

However, some relief is expected by the week of December 17th, when two additional aircraft - once the final lease-transfer process has been completed - will be added to the existing fleet of 14 aircraft.

Customer service agents are on hand to answer queries at the LIAT counter at the airports or can be reached at, toll free: 1-888-844-5428. Queries out of Antigua should be directed to the toll free contact: 1-268-480-5582.

Note to the editors:
LIAT is owned by regional shareholders, with the major shareholders being the governments of Barbados, Antigua and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
