"24 HOUR HOLD" NOW AVAILABLE ON LIAT.COM

ST. MICHAEL’S, Barbados – (July 26, 2007) - LIAT (1974) Ltd has implemented a "24 Hour Hold" feature for bookings made on its web site. This new feature will mean that customers booking on LIAT.com can now make payments at any of LIAT's City ticketing offices with 24 hours after the reservation is made on the web site. LIAT's Chief Commercial Officer, Leesa Parris stated that "the introduction of the hold will allow customers greater flexibility in terms of payment options. Not all of our customers in the region have credit cards or are comfortable with online credit card payments so we would be expanding our reach within the region."

Marketing Manager Derrick Frederick stated that "the 24 Hour Hold is one of LIAT's initiatives to make bookings on LIAT.com easier for the customer and to improve on the airline's overall customer service.

Note: Due to security concerns, users utilizing the hold feature on the web site who are not registered members or who did not sign into their account prior to or during the booking process, will not be afforded the ability to add online payments upon future retrieval of said booking. The user will only be allowed to view the booking. In order to apply payment they will then need to contact the reservation center or walk into their local ticketing office. Therefore it is highly recommended that the user signs into their account or registers as a valid user during the booking process. This will give them the ability to sign into their account, retrieve their booking via the "My Bookings" tab and add a credit card payment prior to the expiration of the 24 hour hold.
